Notes: Here's the scoop. I'll give you my secret. My special, magic secret. I also add sriracha to my guac. Yes, the "rooster sauce". Not a lot, just enough to make it a little hot. You're the only person that knows about this. Don't tell.
Weird fact: Seattle grocery stores don't carry Ro-tel. I have to buy Safeway brand Diced Tomatoes with Green Chiles, which only comes in the big 8 oz size and is definitely NOT the same. Blasphemy.
ReplyDeleteBut in a weird cosmic way of compensating, Trader Joe's sells a guac-making kit, which contains 1 roma tomato, 2 avocados, 1 garlic bulb, 1 shallot, 1 lime, and 1 jalepeno. Not the same, but a-ok.
I basically use the Trader Joes ingredients recipe/version, except I put cilantro, cumin, and chili powder in mine and I do everything in the food processor because I'm lazy. I should use Rooster Sauce instead of the chili powder. Hrrrmmmmm.
